Scope of the project :
The target group of this project consists of beggars, ultra poor families, destitute people that are already accommodated in one of GENVPs home and predominantly people hailing from scheduled castes and tribes. The aim is to establish a cottage industry through candles making with the marketing and sales being handled by GENVP. Candles are an essential item with a guaranteed market and the production is low cost and can be learned quickly. Further, the production has a low barrier to entry and is therefore able to be trained relatively easily and allows participants with limited education or ability to participate.

2 Mukhymantri Bhikshavriti Nivaran Yojna – “ Shanti Kutir”  2015 – Ongoing Livelihood SAKSHAM, Social Welfare Dept., Govt. of Bihar
Scope of Work :
Many ultra poor children/individuals/ families in beggary, destitution and ultra poor lacks basic bare minimum needs to survive like food, clothing and shelter. They find shelter under open sky and lives on road side pavements, railway station, bus stand and other places in a very deplorable condition due to circumstantial and varied reasons for bringing them on the verge of utter state of ultra poverty. As a welfare measure, Government of Bihar plans to provide a comprehensive rehabilation services to such children/individuals/families that are in beggary, destitution and ultra poor. Under MBNY scheme "SAKSHAM" has engaged an agency to run a SHORT STAY HOME cum CLASSIFICATION CENTRE for ultra poor children/individuals/families in beggary and destitution to provide rehabilitation, classification and referral services to people in beggary and ultra poor.
3 Mukhymantri Nari Shakti Yojna  2009-2010 Livelihood Women Development Corporation
Overview :
Women Development Corporation is implementing the “Mukhya Mantri Narishakti Yojna” (MNSY) under the plan fund of Govt. of Bihar , whereby it has been proposed that women SHGs would be formed on a saturation mode. The objective of the project is women’s empowerment through Institution building, micro finance and livelihoods intervention thereby, economic development for the members of the BPL & their families by organizing them into SHGs. These SHGs formed will comprise of women members only belonging to the BPL or those categorized as poor (WDC criteria). The components of the project outlined to achieve the objective of the economic empowerment of BPL women are :

1. Strengthening of groups & cluster through capacity building which can lead to formation of viable and sustainable CBO
2. Economic empowerment through IGA and Livelihood intervention
3. Convergence with different Govt. schemes
4. Networking
5. Literacy awareness on legal, political & social issues
4 Swarn Jyanti Swarojgar Yojna 2010-2011 Livelihood Government of Bihar
Overview :
Swarn Jyanti Swarojgar Yojna engagement of an NGO for formation and nurturing of 100 Women Self Groups (SHGs) in Daniwayan block of Patna District. NGO would lay the key role in mobilizing the poor women in the communities and forming them into SHGs and providing on-going support to the SHGs. It is essential that the NGO staff adopt an approach in interacting with the SHGs, which promotes self-reliance and not dependency. Thus, the primary role of lthe NGO would be to motivate and organize groups and to provide the SHG members with opportunities to acquire the skills to manage the group’s affaris. NGO would follow participatory processes in order to promote self-reliance.

7 Swayamsidha Project 2002-2005 Livelihood Women Development Corporation
Overview :
