Right to information Act has been implemented both at the level of State and National Governments and functional structure has been created availability of information from the concerned departments but the use among the rural community is negligible due to lack of information. With a view to enable the rural community to exercise their rights, a strategy was chalked out by GENVP in collaboration with Commonwealth of Human rights initiative to train grass root CSOs from Bihar on the provisions and aspects of the law and system of Right to Information.
Training on Right to information was organized for CSO functionaries covering 52 Voluntary organizations from 22 districts of Bihar. Justice Shashank Kumar Singh, attended the training session and stressed in his speech that such initiatives would go a long way in strengthening the hands of poor and marginalized in access to information. Follow up of the progress is being reviewed with the participating organizations.

GENVP plays the important role establishing “Jankari Seva Kendra”
